Trauma & Orthopaedics
At the Department of Trauma & Orthopaedics, we treat injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system in adults. Our profile areas are joint replacement surgery and shoulder surgery.
The Rheumatology Section, which diagnoses and treats patients with rheumatic problems, is organisationally attached to the Orthopaedic Clinic.
The Orthopaedic Clinic's activities are divided into the following sections and units:
- Joint Replacement Section - specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery, it is located on its own elective nursing ward.
- Shoulder Section - specialising in shoulder surgery
- Trauma Unit - specialising in fractures and other trauma
- Hand Surgery Team
- Spinal Surgery Team
